Alastair is the Artistic Director of the Original Theatre Company.
Directing credits for the company: The Night Watch, Caroline’s Kitchen (Monogamy); The Importance of Being Earnest, Wait Until Dark; all 4 firstclass national and international tours of the acclaimed, record-breaking production of Sebastian Faulks’ Birdsong; The Private Ear and The Public Eye; Our Country’s Good; Twelfth Night (2011); Dancing at Lughnasa; The Madness of George III; Journey’s End; Shakespeare’s R&J; The Taming of the Shrew (2006) and Twelfth Night (2005). Other directing credits: Shadowlands (Birdsong Productions); The Importance of Being Earnest Henry V and The Merry Wives of Windsor for South Hill Park Arts Centre. Acting credits: Invincible (UK tours and New York); Birdsong, Three Men in a Boat, See How They Run, Dancing at Lughnasa, Vincent in Brixton and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (all for Original Theatre Company); Henry V (RSC) and A Desire to Kill on the Tip of the Tongue (Edinburgh Festival). He is the recipient of the Max Cary Award for Innovation presented by the University of London and the Stage One Bursary for Producers.
