*Simon Ward

Simon’s prolific stage career has included roles in London, all over the UK, and internationally.

He has been seen in the BBC’S crime drama, Judge John Deed, playing the role of Judge Everard, and The Tudors seasons 3 and 4 for SW Productions.

*Susan Penhaligon

Susan Penhaligon was brought up in Cornwall and trained at the Webber Douglas Academy in London. Her first appearance in the theatre was playing Juliet in Romeo and Juliet at the Connaught theatre, Worthing and since then she has worked extensively in theatre, film and television.



Her early TV credits include Upstairs Downstairs, Tales of the Unexpected, Bergerac, Remmington Steele, Casualty, Inspector Wycliffe and Doctor Who. She played Bianca in the Taming of the Shrew for the BBC’s Shakespeare season and Frank Finlay’s spoilt daughter Prue, in the hugely successful A Bouquet of Barbed Wire. Other leading parts were in Fay Weldon’s Heart of the Country and in Stan Barstow’s A Kind of Loving. She played Lucy in Dracula for the BBC and Judi Dench’s sister Helen in four series of the award winning sitcom, A Fine Romance. Most recently she has appeared in Doctors and played the regular role of Jean Hope in Emmerdale.



Her West End credits include, Three Sisters, (Albery Theatre), The Real Thing (The Strand Theatre) The Mysterious Mr Love and The Maintenance Man both at the Comedy Theatre, Dangerous Corner (The Whitehall Theatre) and Of Mice and Men (The Mermaid Theatre)



Among her many touring appearances are Having a Ball, Dangerous Obsession, Bedroom Farce, Mindgame, The Constant wife, Mrs Warren’s Profession, Death Trap Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime, Murder on Air – the Agatha Christie Radio Plays.



She appeared three times at the Palace Theatre Watford in The Complacent Lover, The Girl in Melanie Klein and as Nora in A Doll’s House. She was in two seasons at The Royal Exchange Manchester appearing in Time and the Conways, Lower Depths and The Cherry Orchard. At the Birmingham Rep she was in David Lodge’s The Writing Game and at the West Yorkshire Playhouse, Arthur Miller’s Broken Glass. Last year she was at the Mill At Sonning, playing the lead role of Alma in one of Ben Travers’ final plays The Bed Before Yesterday.



On the fringe she appeared in Abducting Diana (Edinburgh Festival), Annie Wilkes in Misery (King’s Head Theatre), the Nurse in Romeo and Juliet (Jermyn Street Theatre) and as Sarah Golden in Prophecy (The New End Theatre).


Her films include leading roles in, The Uncanny, The Land that Time Forgot, No Sex Please We’re British, Leopard in the Snow, Nasty Habits, Patrick, Soldier of the Queen and Private Road. And most recently two short films, Citizen versus Kane and Say you Love Me.



Last year, Susan published her first novel, For the Love of Angel (Truran Books) a story set down in Cornwall in the 1880’s.


 

Alastair Whatley- Prince of Wales

Director, actor and producer, Alastair founded The Original Theatre Company in 2005 having graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London. Directing credits for the company include the national tours of Journey’s End (2010), Shakespeare’s R&J (2008), Twelfth Night (2005), The Taming of The Shrew (2006) and A Midsummer Night's Dream (2006). Other Directing credits include The Merry Wives of Windsor (2006) and Henry V (2007) for South Hill Park Arts Centre and the rehearsed readings of Mallard and Beneath the Marble Palace. In 2007, Alastair also worked as ‘The Director in Residence’ at The Powell Theatre in Sherborne where he directed Twelfth Night for the second time.



His acting credits include: Journey’s End (National Tour), Vincent in Brixton (National Tour) Henry V (RSC), Romeo and Juliet, Robin Hood, Twelfth Night (National Tour), Henry V (South Hill Park) A Midsummer Night's Dream (Harrogate Sun Pavilion and National Tour), A Desire to Kill on Tip of The Tongue (Edinburgh Festival) and touring internationally with the one man show The Importance of Being Oscar.



As a producer he has worked on all the Company's past shows, from Twelfth Night in 2005 to The Madness of George in 2010. His next project is directing Brian Friel’s Olivier Award winning play, Dancing at Lughnasa

He is the recipient of The Max Cary Award for innovation from The University of London and in 2010 was awarded The Stage One Bursary for young producers presented by The Society of London Theatre.


 

Courtney Spence- Baker/Sheridan

Courtney trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. He had worked extensively in many of the top repertory companies in the UK including The Bristol Old Vic and The Crucible in Sheffield. For four years of his career Courtney appeared as Pooh and Mole in two number one tours of ‘Winnie the Pooh’ and the ‘Wind in the Willows’ both ending with seasons in the West End.



Being a versatile character actor he has played many different roles as diverse as Macbeth to Reverend Collins in Pride and Prejudice. Courtney has also appeared in many commercials both here and aboard along with the occasional appearance on the box.


 

Garrett Moore- Duke of York/Fortnum

Garrett trained at Guildhall School of Music and Drama.



Whilst at Guildhall he appeared as Sefton in Two Shakespearean, Colonel in Mechanical Piano, Julius/Octavius in Julius Caesar, Stanley Henry in Lamb, Romeo in Romeo and Juliet, Messenger in Antigone, Gabriel in Kiss of the Spiderwoman, Max in The Homecoming, Sir Fopling Flutter in Man of Mode, Triletski in Platanov and Christian in Festen.

Kate Colebrook- Papandiek

Kate graduated from Guildford School of Acting in 2008.


Theatre credits include: The Extraordinary Cabaret of Dorian Gray, (Leicester Square Theatre), Miracle (Leicester Square Theatre), Othello (National Tour), The Big Read (Northcott Theatre), The Tempest (International Tour), Northanger Abbey (National Tour).


Televison credits include: The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret (Channel 4).

Knight Mantell- Willis/Dundas

A graduate of Manchester University’s drama department, Knight has more than 40 years experience as actor, director, writer and theatre producer. He has played opposite Alec Guinness, Maggie Smith, Alistair Sim, Topol, Margaret Leighton, Gary Wilmot and John Inman in many parts ranging from Dracula to Archie Rice, Salieri to Widow Twankey. He has toured with Equus, The Canterbury Tales and as Cardinal Richelieu in The Three Musketeers. He was founder director of Channel Theatre Company and Lyceum Productions mounting productions of Therese Raquin, The Norman Conquests, Everyman and Don Juan in Hell. He has directed opera in Hong Kong. Work with the British Actors Theatre Company includes Coupler in The Relapse as well as directing The Dresser with Ian Lavender and most recently The Rivals. Television work includes Lillie, Dempsey and Makepeace, Martin Chuzzlewit and Game On. Film work includes The Fool with Derek Jacobi and Wild Justice with Roy Schneider

Rhys trained at Guildford School of Acting. Whilst at GSA he appeared as, Billy Corman in SERIOUS MONEY, Horne in A NIGHT OUT, Alfredo in THE KITCHEN, Antipholus of Syracuse in A COMEDY OF ERRORS, The Duke in A PUNISHMENT WITHOUT REVENGE, Stanley in THE ROSES OF EYAM, Guy Jones in A CHORUS OF DISAPPROVAL, Stanton in DANGEROUS CORNER, Apollo in ORIESTIA, Leontes in THE WINTER'S TALE, Frank Scarpini in FIORELLO, and was choreographer for Jellyfish Cowboys.

Zachary Holton- Thurlow

Zac made his acting debut in 1985 at the Nottingham Playhouse in the world premier of Room at the Top also appearing in Mother Goose and A Majority of One. Following this he understudied the role of Gozark in the London Palladium production of Singin’ in the Rain with Tommy Steele at the Bristol and Birmingham Hippodromes, touring as far as the Shinjuku Koma Stadium in Tokyo. Other recent work includes a tour of the UK & Ireland as Tour Manager with Strauss Gala and Over the Rainbow; the Eva Cassidy story with Faye Tozer (Theatre Productions); Playing the dastardly Captain Hook in Peter Pan (Little Theatre Sherringham); As Director for Jane Austen’s Emma (Heartbreak Productions); Company Stage Manager for Cinderella (Palace Theatre Newark) and Stage Manager for Othello and the highly acclaimed Journey’s End, in which he also played the role of the Company Sergeant Major (Icarus Theatre Collective / Original Theatre Company).

Film, radio and television credits include: Acting; on-screen presenter in Somewhere beginning with N… (Nottingham’s Tourist Information Film); A very Peculiar Practice (BBC); The Bill (Thames); Hard Cases and The Next Step (Central Television).
